Favorites (1 & 2)

1. Hot Air Balloons
I rode in a hot air balloon once. I was in 6th grade on spring break in Charlotte, North Carolina. I hated it. Wanted to stay in the basket and not look out. Why would anyone want to look out? Oh, and it was cold. So riding in them, not my cup of tea. But sometimes when I am driving to work, I see dozens of hot air balloons in the sky. I have over an hour long commute, so when I see these balloons, it makes my day. It's the most beautiful thing.

Please don't ask if I took these while I was driving. I know, I know.
2. Quotes
I collect quotes like some people collect ... stamps? Do people do that? I think so. Anyway, I love a good quote. This TS Eliot quote I read for the first time off of Flora and Fauna - she also has a cute family, I don't know what it is with me and bloggers with cute families, I just can't get enough. Anyway, the quote is a keeper:

I said to my soul, be still and wait without hope, for hope would be hope for the wrong thing; wait without love, for love would be love for the wrong thing; there is yet faith, but the faith and the love are all in the waiting. Wait without thought, for you are not ready for thought; so the darkness shall be the light, and the stillness the dancing. -- TS Eliot
